March is all about refreshing your home inside and out as we transition into spring here in the PNW. A little maintenance now—from outdoor fixes to indoor resets—can set you up for a smoother, healthier, and more beautiful season ahead.
1. Aerate Your Lawn: March is a great time to aerate your lawn to relieve soil compaction caused by heavy winter rain. Aerating allows water, air, and nutrients to reach the roots more effectively before the growing season kicks in.
2. Re-Level Pavers or Stepping Stones: Winter freeze-thaw cycles and heavy rain can shift pavers or stepping stones. Reset and level any uneven areas now to prevent tripping hazards and improve curb appeal.
3. Check and Clean Bathroom Fan Vent Covers: Remove dust buildup from fan covers to improve airflow and reduce moisture accumulation as humidity increases in spring.
4. Deep Clean and Rotate Mattresses: March is a good time for indoor refresh projects. Vacuum mattresses, rotate or flip them if applicable, and freshen bedding for a healthier sleep environment.
