This time of year is less about big projects and more about getting your home ready to be fully used again. These are a few simple things I like to do in May that make a noticeable difference heading into summer!

1. Test Outdoor Electrical & Lighting: Check exterior outlets, replace bulbs, and make sure everything is working before you start spending more evenings outside.

2. Trim Back Growth Around the House: Plants grow quickly this time of year. Keep shrubs and branches from touching siding or the roof to help prevent moisture issues and pests.

3. Refresh Outdoor Living Spaces: Wipe down furniture, rinse cushions, and sweep or pressure wash patios and decks. This is the month your outdoor spaces start getting used again, make them feel ready

4. Clean Windows Inside and Out: It’s simple, but it changes everything. More light, clearer views, and your home instantly feels more put together.
